Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is more recognized by her stage name and screen name Gugu Mbatha Raw. Gugu became famous due to her appearance in the BBC television series of science fiction called Doctor Who. Gugu scored a huge hit on the show, as she played Tish Jones. Tish is the sister of Martha Jones. Gugu was a lively, spontaneous personality that was loved by the public. She would have been able to have a successful career an actor, if she did not give up! Chelsea Joy Handler, born on February 25, 1975, in Livingston New Jersey, is the youngest of six children. The family was comprised of six family members and Chelsea Joy Handler being the youngest. Handler was the child of a salesman and a housewife. Her mother immigrated to America in 1958 as an immigrant from Germany. Handler was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989 and was able to die after fighting the disease for ten years. Handler was raised Reform Judaism by her father and grandfather, who were Jewish. Handler enjoyed a pleasant and healthy living in a posh area. Handler was 19 when she decided to move into Los Angeles and pursue acting. Handler employed as an actor in order to support her family. When she turned aged 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy as a full-time profession because she realized her story telling abilities. Handler made her debut on her role on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly the reality series that featured the use of a hidden camera/practical comedy. The show was broadcast from 2002 until 2005. The handler began to appear on other TV shows, such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler also began working as the correspondent for The Tonight Show. Handler had her biggest break in 2006 when she was named host on E! This show was named The Chelsea Handler. The Chelsea Handler show ran for two years. Handler then followed up with doing a show on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour and which was a tour in the United States. Her stand-up performances have been aired on VH1 and Comedy Central's Premium Blend and HBO. In 2010 the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were revealed. It made her the 2nd woman in the history of television, after Roseanne Barr, to host VMAs.
